Fear

Fear. Such a simple word, yet we all deal with it every day. Fear to speak out, fear to stand up for God, fear to follow what God is calling you to do. Each and every one of us, the great and the small, deal with fear. So how can we overcome fear? The only way to do so is to trust in God to carry us through. Our God is so much more powerful than fear.
This verse often helps me when I feel like I'm being overcome by fear:

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Notice that God has given us power. Power to do what? Overcome fear. We can't do it on our own, but with the power that God has given us, we can defeat fear.
God has also given us the spirit of love. Where the spirit of love is, fear cannot exist.
Finally, God gives us a sound mind. As Christians, God gives us great peace and soundness of mind, if we only trust in Him.
With God, fear can be overcome. Fear is no match for us with Christ on our side.
If God is for us, who can be against us?
